5 Reclaimed Wood Christmas Projects
Reclaimed wood makes an alluring decor for any home or restaurant. It’s an affordable, sustainable and environmentally friendly material commonly obtained from old barns and buildings. With Christmas coming soon, here are some great do-it-yourself Christmas projects you can create with reclaimed wood.
Reclaimed Wood Campfire
For this one you don’t need wood from an old building, you can simply find some small tree logs, paint them white and stack them wherever you see best in a campfire formation. Wrap some Christmas lights on top, preferably the larger type, and voila you have yourself a great Christmas decoration. This idea was designed by Brian Patrick Flynn, check out more of his work here.
Reclaimed Wood Mason Jar Chandelier
Creating a reclaimed wood jar chandelier will require a bit of work, but the result will be worth it. A perfect holiday chandelier for either inside or outside. Check out how to make it here.
Reclaimed Wood Fireplace
For those with a fireplace that you never or can’t use. A reclaimed wood fireplace is the perfect disguise. If you can get your hands on reclaimed wood logs, set them in the fireplace while wrapping white Christmas lights all over them. Once finished you will have the perfect glowing fireless fireplace that everyone will enjoy.
Picket Fence Christmas Wreath
Picket fences can serve a better a purpose than being disposed of at a junkyard. With help of these instructions from Joanne Palmisano you can make an enchanting wreath make out of pieces of a picket fence and some green garland or twigs.
Pallet Christmas Tree
The last project we’d recommend is a Christmas tree made out of pallets. Using pallets that you can paint at your own creative discretion and wrapping Christmas lights just like you would do with a evergreen fir tree, this particular Christmas tree will look like an art piece straight out of a museum. Here are the instructions designed by Dan Faires. A pallet Christmas tree will be a great piece to use for either inside or outside.
