7 Pieces of Furniture Your Restaurant Can’t Be Without
When it comes to furnishing your restaurant, it’s important to consider all of your options. Some furniture goes without saying, while other furniture may not be something you think of right away.
Here are seven pieces of furniture that should be in every restaurant.
Tables
The tables that are found throughout the dining room can be any shape and size. You have to consider how many people your establishment can seat and how you want everyone to fit inside. The tables can be large enough for multiple parties to be seated together or you can go for two and four tops that provide a more intimate atmosphere. The tables you ultimately choose is going to have a considerable impact on the setting that is created within the restaurant.
Chairs
Various types of chairs can be included in the dining room. You can have standard chairs, benches, or even high top stools that go with the higher tables. The chairs can have backs, arms, and other features. You want something where people will be comfortable and have the necessary posture to be able to sit comfortably at the table and enjoy their meal.
Bar Table
A bar table can be a great way to increase the size of your bar area. In addition to the bar itself, you can add a bar table or two that allow people to sit with the drinks they got from the bar. Especially if you have a happy hour, it’s a great way to maximize on the sales that can be made.
Shelves
Shelves are a necessity in the front of the house as well as the back of the house. You can use them to show off some random decorations and use them for purposes of storage. Servers can have quick access to drink napkins and they can use to store liquor bottles behind the bar.
Hostess Stand
A hostess stand is a great way to keep everyone organized when they come in the door. They stop at the hostess stand first to tell your host or hostess how many are in their party and to get on a wait list if needed. The stand can be relatively tall and have built in shelves to store such things as menus, crayons, and dining room diagrams of all the tables and what servers are covering what areas.
Glass Rack
Behind the bar, you may need a glass rack. Also, it may be useful to have such a piece of furniture in the server areas where the drink machines are. This can keep all of the drinkware organized so it is easy to reach when an employee is going to make a drink for a guest.
Waiting Benches
When people walk through the door, you want to make sure you have a place for them to wait for everyone in their party. As well as when there is an actual wait for a table. The benches can be in any format you desire, but can go a long way to making people feel welcome inside the restaurant.
